Job Description
- Arriving at accurate diagnosis of the case
- Reviewing patient records to identify potential problems that may require further action
- Performing examinations such as physical exams, lab tests, x-rays, and other diagnostic procedures
- Communicating with other health care providers about a patient’s progress or any concerns about the patient’s care plan
- Coordinating patient care with other medical staff members such as nurses and physicians
- Performing administrative tasks such as ordering medications and sending reports to physicians
- Interviewing patients to obtain information about their health history, symptoms, and complaints
- Conducting research on disease processes and treatments in order to improve patient care
- Preparing reports on patient diagnoses and treatment plans
Skills
- Masters Degree in Internal Medicine
- Minimum 3 years experience in Internal Medicine
- Ability to assume greater responsibility in matters of patient care
- Commitment to learning and training in pursuance of a career in his chosen specialty.
- Ability to deal calmly, with tact and diplomacy to patient and staff alike.
- Ability to work effectively in a multi-cultural environment.
